The Pabrai Family has over 30 years of experience in the Indian Ice Cream Manufacturing Industry. It started with the founding of Tulika’s Ice Cream Pvt. Ltd. in 1985 which grew into a prominent mass market brand in Eastern India. A generation of ice cream lovers in the 1980s and 1990s grew up on Tulika’s Twinzee Ice cream and Hot Chocolate Fudge Sundae and fondly remembers them even today.

In 2008,  the Pabrais combined their technical expertise in crafting ice creams of the creamiest of textures with their knowledge of food to make artisanal ice creams with the finest of ingredients sourced from around the world. Born out of this ethos was Pabrai’s Fresh & Naturelle Ice Cream

Pabrai’s Fresh & Naturelle Ice Cream took natural ice cream making to a whole new level with its key focus on the ingredient and a keen desire to delight the Indian palette. Not just content with making the most delectable ice creams from fresh fruits, Pabrai’s invented the Pabrai’s Nalen Gur Ice Cream, an ice cream made from date palm jaggery, unique to Bengal. It is their signature flavor and has won accolades all over the world. The Calcutta Meetha Paan Ice Cream is another such invention which makes use of 17 ingredients to make a complete replica in the ice cream of the meetha paan from Calcutta. The South Indian Filter Coffee Ice Cream made from a freshly brewed decoction is another such flavor that stands testament to the passion that goes into ice cream making in Pabrai’s. Indian ingredients such as rose patti/petal, five spices, gandharaj lemon, saffron, cinnamon, cardamom and chandan (sandalwood) have found their way into some of the much loved flavours at Pabrai’s. Pabrai’s Ice Cream makes its vanilla flavours from imported vanilla beans and chocolate flavors from natural cocoa. Nuts such as pine nuts and macadamia have made their way into some delightful flavor pairings as well.

With their knowledge of international cuisines, the Pabrais import Matcha Green Tea and Wasabi from Japan, cheeses such as Mascarpone and Ricotta from Italy and the French Perigord Black Truffle from France to make some of the most gourmet ice creams available in the world. They regularly work with renowned chefs in five star hotels and gourmet restaurants to craft ice cream flavours that complement their spread and keep the Indian gastronome wanting for more.

In their passion for making gourmet ice creams, the Pabrais have not lost sight of the fact that ICE CREAMS ARE FUN too. You can lick a scoop of their bubblegum ice cream to blow a big bubble of gum from your lips or usher in the season to be jolly with an Apple Pie Ice Cream or colour up your holi with a Thandai Ice Cream. 

In 2016, equipped with the abundance of natural ingredients which go into natural ice cream making, Pabrai’s started the creamiest range of thick Milk Shakes and thicker than thick Thick Shakes. The path forward is laid with happy thoughts of introducing more product ranges as well as inventing evermore gourmet flavors of ice creams, for ice cream lovers in both India and abroad.
